    – I think this is a personal decision that can only come after much prayer and fasting. Questions to ask yourself: Will this help the Lord’s ministry, or hinder it? Remember, The Lord related to those, no one else related too with his ministry. Many times he did the most unorthodox things of the day. However his motivation for doing anything was always pure. What is your motivation? What would Kermit do?

Is it Christian to get a tattoo?

I love history and if you have time read the Biblical scholar’s M.W. Thomson theory about why Moses may have favored tattoos. It is possible that he saw tattoos as a way to commemorate the deliverance of the Jews from slavery in Egypt Exodus 13:9. However, in Leviticus 19:28 it is clear that a tattoo is a no no. Yet I can site three other examples that can make your head spin. Read Isaiah 44:5, Isaiah 49:16, Job 37:7

If God is calling you too physically, engraved yourself with a mark that shows everyone the work that God is doing within you…then do it.

If the act is for pride…then do not mark your flesh.

If you are getting a tattoo to remember a friend/spouse/relative who passed, I think it is ok to get said tattoo as long as it is simple and in good taste.

With regards to a religious tattoo, as long as you are doing it because of love of God and not just for show then go ahead!
